Companies with a defined product or supply need

Specialised brands, manufacturers buying components, distributors with their own product, and purchasing or operations managers — typically in one of these situations:

A manufacturer for a product that is already defined

You know what the product is and roughly how much you need. You want candidates in Portugal able to make it.

An alternative to a current supplier

Price, capacity, quality or continuity have changed. You want a second source without running the search yourself.

Proposals that are hard to compare

Answers arrive in different formats and capability is unconfirmed. You want a structured comparison.

Samples, terms and next steps to coordinate

You need someone to keep the conversation moving with candidates while your team decides.

A clear sourcing record, from brief to decision.

Deliverables and responsibilities are agreed before work starts. Technical approval remains with the buyer and the relevant specialists.

From requirement to supply agreement

  1. Define the brief

We confirm the application, quantities, requirements and timeline, and agree the scope, remuneration and how information may be shared. If Fractio is not a suitable fit, we say so at this stage.

  2. Explore manufacturing fit

We contact candidate manufacturers, collect confirmation of interest and the information available on capabilities, and keep stated data separate from verified data.

  3. Compare proposals and samples

We organise the proposals and coordinate next steps. You and your technical teams evaluate suitability and samples; the manufacturer confirms pricing, documentation and delivery terms.

  4. Agree supply and follow-up

You and the manufacturer agree the supply terms directly. Any later follow-up by Fractio — repeat orders, changes, further projects — depends on the scope contracted.

Timing depends on the product, the requirements and the manufacturers’ response. A search can also conclude that no suitable candidate was found; the project terms provide for that.

Receive a scoped proposal before work starts.

Fractio

  • Clarifies the brief and the decision criteria with you.
  • Contacts candidates and records interest and stated capabilities.
  • Organises proposals and coordinates samples, terms and next steps within the agreed scope.

You, the buyer

  • Define the requirement, quantities and timeline.
  • Evaluate suitability, documentation and samples with your technical teams.
  • Decide, and contract directly with the manufacturer.

The manufacturer

  • Confirms feasibility, capacity and applicable requirements.
  • Prepares quotations, samples and documentation.
  • Produces, invoices and delivers directly to you.

Depending on the assignment, Fractio may be paid through a project fee, an ongoing support fee or an agreed supplier commission. Any supplier-paid remuneration is disclosed before the relevant introduction, and we do not charge both sides for the same work without explicit agreement. Submitting an enquiry does not create an order or a payment obligation.

Audits, certification and technical assessments are not implied services; they require specialists and a specific engagement. Describing Fractio as an intermediary does not remove any legal obligations of the parties.

Discuss your sourcing project

Enough to assess fit — nothing confidential

Product and application

What it is, what it is used for, and the situation you want to improve.

Quantities and recurrence

Per order and per year, one-off or recurring. “Still to be defined” is fine.

Requirements you already know

Materials, processes, standards, documentation — as far as known.

Timeline and decision process

When you would like samples or a first delivery, and who decides.

Please describe the requirement without confidential drawings. We agree how project documents may be shared — including an NDA where appropriate — before requesting them, and we do not forward your brief to suppliers without your authorisation.

Where we search first

Healthcare, dental & veterinary products

Defined products, accessories, consumables and components with a clear application. Documentation and any technical or regulatory requirements are assessed for each project with the appropriate teams.
