Find a manufacturer for your next project

Start from your specification

Describe what is to be made, how the component is used and which requirements are decisive. We use the brief to search for relevant manufacturers, not a generic list of factories.

Compare the whole assignment

Material, tooling, sample runs, quality control, transport and repeat orders all belong in the assessment. Price and capacity are confirmed by each supplier.

Portuguese manufacturing is largely made up of specialised small and medium-sized companies in metalworking, plastics, rubber, textiles, footwear, electronics and medical products, most of them within a few hours of Porto or Lisbon. Being inside the EU single market means no customs duties and one regulatory framework for Nordic buyers.

What we need to know

Do you have drawings or confidential material? Describe the need first. We agree how the documentation may be shared before contacting any potential supplier.

How it works, step by step

  1. Tell us what you need

Describe the product, approximate volumes and the delivery you have in mind. We confirm your key requirements and agree how the information may be shared.

  2. We search and confirm interest

I contact relevant Portuguese manufacturers and check interest, capacity and the conditions for your project. If no suitable match is found, you will hear it from me.

  3. You evaluate the options

When there is a possible match, I introduce you. The manufacturer confirms price, technical requirements and delivery terms. You evaluate the quotation and any samples.

  4. You agree the supply — I follow up

You and the manufacturer sign the agreement. The manufacturer invoices and delivers. I follow up the commercial dialogue, including ahead of repeat orders, within the scope contracted.

Terms agreed before work starts.

Scope, responsibilities and commercial terms are agreed before work starts. Depending on the assignment, Fractio may be paid through a project fee, an ongoing support fee or an agreed supplier commission. Any supplier-paid remuneration is disclosed before the relevant introduction. Submitting an enquiry does not create an order or a payment obligation.

You request quotations and order directly from the manufacturer. The manufacturer sets the price and is responsible for the agreed production, invoicing and delivery. Fractio coordinates the commercial work; roles and remuneration are agreed for each assignment.

Your enquiry is not an order. You decide whether to proceed after reviewing the proposal.

Frequently asked questions before a quotation

Can I send an enquiry without a finished drawing?

Yes. Describe the function, material, approximate dimensions and volume, and state clearly that the documentation still needs to be developed. A final quotation may require more detail.

How do I assess a supplier proposal?

Compare technical fit, testing, available capacity, delivery terms and total cost. A proposal presented by Fractio does not replace your own supplier assessment or a written purchasing agreement.

Do you audit the factories?

Not as an implied service. Site visits or audits require specialists, a defined scope and a specific engagement. We can help arrange them; the assessment remains with you and the specialists.
